First Family Photo

Believe it or not, this is the very first family photo of all 6 of us!  I can't believe it took us 7 months to get one... and of all the shots, there are NONE with everyone looking at the camera.  Oh well, you get the idea.

And one with my parents too...

Busy August

Well I've been slacking on the posts again and I have a lot to post about, but not a lot of great pictures and not a lot of time to do it!  So here is a very quick review of what we've been up to!

The weekend of August 13th, we attended our friends Candice and Dean's wedding up in Turtle Lake, SK.  It was a gorgeous wedding outside at her parent's cabin and we went without children, so we ended up letting loose and having a lot of fun!  I left my memory card at home so didn't get any good pictures... but we stayed up late, had some drinks and did a whole lot of dancing.  And the best part?  Sleeping uninterrupted and late into the morning!  Thanks Candice and Dean for hosting such a fabulous party! Here's one shot of the beautiful bride that I stole from Nat:

We had a nice little visit with Duane and Marina when they stopped in for a night on their way back to Hinton.  Here they are with all the kids... I actually remembered to get out the camera!  Thanks for stopping in guys!  Now if only you'd move to the hat, you could spend so much more time with all of us ;)

The next weekend we attended a garden party back home in Shaunavon in honor of my friend Allyssa and Trevor's marriage which we had attended in Toronto in May.  We brought all the kids this time and still had a lot of fun!  The only picture I have is of the boys that day... but I know my dad took some nice pics of our family that I will share once I get a hold of them!  It was a stunning party and I wish I would have captured it!  Here's Fletcher and Griffin all dressed up and ready to go:

Then just yesterday my mom, Natalie, and I took all the kids to the Calgary Zoo.  I had told Griffin that if he filled up this piece of paper with stickers (he got one sticker every time he pooped on the toilet), that I would take him somewhere special.  Here he is with his completed paper... that is a whole of pooping on the toilet!

And then of course I was a slacker with the camera and hardly got any good shots.  Here are a couple though:

On our way home we stopped at a restaurant in Strathmore for supper.  This was the babies first time at a restaurant and I knew we were pushing our luck as it was getting very close to bed time.  At first though, they were pretty excited to be out of their car seats and stroller and in an air conditioned building.  Here are some happy faces... which turned sad soon after and we quickly got out of there.

Sunny was SO loud in there... she gets excited and hyper and just screams her head off.

Fletcher trying out the high chair

Happy girl Gibs!

My big boy :)

Thanks mom and Natalie for taking the zoo on with us!  I think it went pretty good... as good as we could expect anyway for a 13 hour day!  Yeesh!

The Goings On

Here are some pics taken lately... we're making a lot of good memories here, but man oh man, having triplets is HARD WORK.  Go figure, hey?  I think if I could get some good nights here and there, I would find it more manageable but for some reason they have all been tag teaming at night lately... one is up and as soon as I get him or her back to sleep, the next one wakes up... and so on and so on.  Each of them on their own isn't so bad at all, but times three, the night wakings are getting old very fast! This weekend Troy and I are heading to a wedding in Turtle Lake, SK and Troy wisely recommended we go child-free... I am planning on a whole lot of sleeping in!!!  Last night Troy and I got to enjoy dinner together... thanks to my parents for watching all 4 kids... we may have extended our dinner ever-so-slightly... it was the most glorious 3 hour meal I've had in a long time :)  Anyways, here are some pics.

I bought this little outfit in a store in small town Maple Creek before I knew the genders of the babies... I knew that atleast ONE had to be a girl!  So here's little miss Gibsyn wearing it very well... I wish I would've known to get two!

Story time with mommy, Griff, Gibs, and Fletcher

Girlies!  I just love headbands... I'd love other hair accessories too if they had any hair!!

Griffin and I public skating... he told me he'd hold my hand... he is a much better skater than I!

Dad and I pushing the babies around... Gibsyn and Fletcher fell asleep and Sunny loved all the activity!

All of us!

I recently bought a little journal to record some of the cute little things Griffin says... today my favorite was when he was playing with Gibsyn on the floor and he looks up at me and says "mommy, I do love Gibs... very much".  And it's moments like that where I forget about sleep deprivation and all the craziness and it's all worth while :)

Stampede

Last week I really wanted to attend the parade in town and take Griffin to the fair grounds... actually when I was pregnant with the triplets for some reason I got it in my head that by the time the stampede came around, the babies would be old enough to enjoy going out and they'd be fairly easy to manage by then.  Hahaha... now I have it in my head that by NEXT summer, the babies will be fairly easy to manage and we'll be able to do a lot more things.  We'll see how that works out...
I definitely wouldn't say the babies are "easy" to manage now, but atleast they interact more and enjoy looking around at things.  In fact, the stampede and parade was very enjoyable... they stayed in their stroller most of the time happily... and Griffin had a great time on all the rides.  We went to the fair grounds at around 3pm and didn't leave until 8:15... the babies normally go to bed at 7:30 so they did extremely well!  I kind of ended the night poorly because I decided to go on this crazy flipping, spinning, upside-down ride with my nephew and got pretty sick afterwards!  I had to sit on the grass to stop the world from spinning and as I sat there looking up at my stroller full of babies, I decided that was probably the last "big" ride I'll ever go on!  I don't know what I was thinking, I still get car sick if I try to read a map while riding in the van!
Anyways, I wish it was stampede every day cause it certainly beats a day inside at home!  Here are a couple pics of the day... wish I had taken more, but it was a busy day!

Nat & Sunny, Mom & Fletcher watching the parade.  The babies were decked out in their "western attire" until it got too hot!

Griff waiting for the parade to start!

On the airplanes!

Happy Gibs... despite having issues with the heat and getting a heat rash and swollen eyes, she's still grinning!

Sunny, who is usually a bit of a "handful" (to put it gently), LOVED to people watch and was so happy at the fair grounds!

Fletcher and my mom... a tad nervous of all the crowds!

The girls trying out our new bottle holders (thanks to fellow triplet mom Mallory for ordering them up for us!)

We had a lot of "gawkers" that day... one lady asked me if I drove a white mini van... apparently we had left one of the sliding doors wide open after we unloaded and got everyone into the stroller... hahaha... she had kindly closed the door and locked it for us.  She saw all the car seats and figured it had to be ours. Woops!
