Family

We went down to the river today to spend a bit of time outdoors and to attempt some photos.  I was in luck, and managed to get some decent shots.  I'm especially excited to have gotten this family photo... with everyone looking at the camera! Extra amazing since we just used the camera timer and balanced it on some rocks!!

I love my little big family.  Such a beautiful bunch I get to spend my days with :)

First Day of School... kind of

The other day after making Griffin try the Potato Cauliflower and Pea Curry I made, I asked him what he thought of it.  He replied "It was, uh, interesting... but uh, anyways, thank you for supper mommy." And quickly took his plate to the dishwasher. This kid has a way with words I tell you!

Ok, I have to be honest now... I was going to post the following photo and pretend that it was a shot of Griffin on his way to school.  But I can't do it! I can't tell a lie! I forgot to get out the camera AGAIN this week for preschool, so I made Griffin put his backpack back on today and pretend he was going to school. (oh am I ever a lame-o!!!)  The funny thing was that he got right into my little white lie.  He says, "ok well then lets pretend it was my treasure time today and I brought this truck with me for it".  Hahaha, you can't see the truck in this pic, but it was there in his other hand.  Anyways, so ya, this is what he would have looked like if I had taken a picture of him going to school.  Handsome, isn't he?

And as for this picture... how could I not share?? Daddy styled his beautiful red locks with our favourite appliance - the hand vac!

Berries and Soo-soo's

Here are a couple shots of the little ones picking berries off the tree in our backyard... don't worry, they don't eat them, they just pick 'em and squish 'em and throw 'em on the ground.  Oh the joys of being 1!

Last weekend I finally got my "craft room" slash Fletcher's bedroom somewhat organized since we moved in.  The babies thought it was a whole new room when I was done and had a blast playing in Fletcher's bed.  I turned around and caught them all sucking on soothers.  Funny sight, cause Fletcher is the only one who actually uses one.

Griffin has returned to preschool this week and also started swimming lessons again.  However, my camera battery died on that very important first day of school so all I have is a blurry pic on my phone.  :(
I'm hoping to have a do-over next week and get some good shots!

My Mom

I've been debating sharing this video I put together for my mom's birthday (which was a few weeks ago).  Partially because it's not perfect/complete cause I kinda ran out of time... and partially cause I thought maybe it was too private to share.  But then I feel so passionate about the stuff I put in this video that I think it should be shared - my mom (and my dad too!) play such a huge role in my life.  And I want nothing more than all this love and life's lessons to be shared, passed along, and hopefully remembered for all time.

So enjoy... and Happy Birthday again to you, mom!

Babies

I still call them my babies... but now my babies are starting to play with "babies"!

Sunny carrying her baby (actually my baby from when I was little!)

Kisses...

And hugs...

Gramma's turn!

Fletcher: "I'm not kissing no icky babies!"

"All right... just one BIG smack-a-roo!"

"Seriously?  This is what I have to look forward to??!"

Happy 30th

Last weekend my little sister turned 30!  I knew she wasn't looking forward to turning the big 3-0, so we thought we better make her an extra special card this year.  This was the first time the babies finger-painted... and it ended up being as messy as I suspected it might be.  Haha - it was fun though... and Auntie loved her card!

Little Loves

Instead of going on and on about my trip with the kids to Calgary and how Gibby had a fever all night and hardly slept and how my triple stroller had a flat tire for the 5 km walk we were registered for.... I will instead share some sweet reminders of what really matters in my life...

Sunny Lou

Gibsyn Joy

Fletcher Troy

 Griffin Fonz

p.s. the entire trip was worth it to walk with my mom's family and support my Uncle Terry!
