Camping!

This past weekend we had our annual Cave/Audette family camp-out.  My dad and Chuck grew up in Shaunavon together and us kids have known eachother since birth... it's always a lot of fun when our families get together!  Last year, the only children in attendance were a two-year-old and a nine-month-old... this year, we added 5 babies to the mix!!  Needless to say, we didn't go to our usual back-country-no-toilets-no-water site this year.  Instead, we went out to Little Bow where we had some out-houses and a water tap nearby!  I have several good shots to share (thanks to my mom for sharing a lot of her pics with me!).  We started packing and cleaning out my in-laws' motorhome on Monday and by Thursday morning, we were finally ready to go! It was a lot of work to get there, but it actually went really well.  Well, the nights could've been better, but all that fresh air gave us some extra long naps from the babies so we actually got a lot of relaxing in!  Plus, we had a lot of hands to help!

Looks like a tornado hit our site... I'm not too sure how everyone else keeps their's so tidy!

So Proud

Griffin went in a week long skating program last week and I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of him.  He was the littlest guy out there, but made it look like he had been skating for years... I love watching him skate... what a natural!

The babies are a few days shy of 6 months now and so we will soon begin a new adventure with them - solid foods!  My mom discovered these awesome "lobster chairs" that clip onto our island and fold up nice and compact when they're done.  Here are the babies trying out their new chairs...

Sweetie-pie-Gibs smiling away... Fletcher trying to smile, but actually wanting out of his chair....

Best Friends

A few days ago my mom and I took the babies to Swift Current to visit our life-long friends, the Audettes!  We grew up with Shauna, Aimee, and Jason and it's so hard to believe that we have children of our own now... better yet, they're all very close in age and I'm sure they will be the best of friends!  Shauna also has Talyah who is 20 months old and already great friends with Griff.
Here's a shot of all the babies (left to right: Sunny, Saylor (3 weeks), Gibsyn, Jasper (2.5 months), and Fletcher):

Talyah and Sunny... I have a feeling these two could be trouble ;)

And one cute shot of my little man... last night he said to me, "I very like you mommy".
I very like you too, Griffin!!!
